After completing the BARRIER Self-Defense Program, a student will be able to protect themselves in the most common situations of the modern age.

More than just physical techniques. BARRIER is a total self-defense program that emphasizes more than just how fight
- Strategies for avoiding/preventing situations: knowing the psychology of an attacker, understanding goals and priorities, being prepared to defend and escape
- Tactics for every threat level and stage of a situation: the leading up, during the situation, and handling the aftermath
- Use of verbal techniques: the goal is to avoid a fight all together
- Increase awareness: recognizing a possible situation to be prepared to deal with it
- Increase mental toughness: effectively handle the high stress situations to make good decisions
- Use of common self-defense tools (mace, sticks, Brutus, etc)
